Every time I've been to Kiko, I've never had an issue with the food. The sushi bar normally has two guys making fresh roll after roll as customers load their plates. Fresh, made-to-order Hibachi is also included in the buffet price. The dessert bar is loaded with awesome fruits AND don't forget the chocolate drizzling sauce, an ice cream freezer with at least 6 different flavors on hand, and baked sweets on the rear end. The last meal bar at the back of the restaurant has a variety of warm, Asian dishes & soups. The restaurant is clean but the wait staff can be a bit rude at times. Yesterday for instance, I was lunching with a friend & our server clearly was ready for us to leave. Towards the end of our meal, she brought the check while we were in the middle of a conversation. A few minutes later she was hovering our table & decided to start taking all of our plates away--I had to stop her from taking my fruit plate because I wasn't done. On another occasion, 8-10 of our friends met here (in a window of about 30 minutes) and all wanted to sit at the same table... The servers were upset but growing visibly angry with us because she felt we should all be sitting at different tables to disperse tips among servers. I'm assuming, with crowds this large, they want you to make a reservation.. But it's pretty inappropriate to argue with guests because they wanted to sit together. Their sushi isn't the most amazing sushi ever, but the lunch buffet is a bargain for sure!

Kiko used to be my favorite Sushi buffet but unfortunately I don't see myself ever going back :( A couple months ago I was not so thrilled with the selection of sushi so after our dinner we decided to make another spot our go to. Well our other favorite joint closed so last night we decided to give Kiko another shot. Just thinking about last night again makes me feel a little ill. If you read my previous review on Kiko I specifically go for sushi and my hubs only eats hibachi. If I was only writing about their hibachi station I'd say it still is a solid 4 stars. The guy working behind the grill is extremely friendly and their selection of ingredients are impressive BUT if you are going for sushi it's not worth it. Last 2 times I went in the rolls were either left out way to long, not available or the selection was awful. One whole side of the sushi buffet was never replenished and we were there at prime time 6:45pm-7:45pm. The place was pretty packed too so I couldn't figure out the lack of sushi available and the employees just standing around not making sushi. The few pieces I ate were not good. One piece of tuna sashimi was BAD! Like I looked at my husband after I unfortunately already swallowed the whole piece and said " OMG that was disgusting" The thought still makes me cringe . Since the sushi was not good I went for some crab legs which I usually think are good there. Not last night. They were soggy and the meat was yellowish. Ok strike 2 so I went for the chines food although it's not my thing at these types of places. It was ok. Nothing was great except the mushroom dish. I could have skipped the rest. To top it all off I was not ok with the gentleman in the corner with his arms crossed staring down all the customers. I'm assuming he is the manager or owner but he really made me feel uncomfortable. It's really a shame that this place went so downhill when I've been a dozen or more times in 2013- early 2014 and it was good. Maybe under new management I'm not sure but I won't be going back again.

Expensive over weekends and not worth the $$ but weekdays are the best value for $$$ and sushi cravings totally worth weekdays!!

This place is my favorite. I am picky and love Sushi and they have a wonderful variety that is delicious. Clean and nice. Nothing is perfect but I gave it 5 stars for fresh food too. Very clean and pretty.

This place was definitely a surprise! The first time I stopped there was by chance after the neighboring Chipotle was too crowded. What a fortunate day it was! Perfectly priced lunch stop with a super selection of fresh sushi, a hibachi bar, and all of the other treats you would expect at a Japanese buffet. The staff can be a little awkward and a few times their credit card machine has been down... For quality and quantity of food though, I'd put up with those two rare issues any day of the week. Cheers, bon appetite, or whatever they'd say in Asia!

I tried this place for the first time today with friends. They use fresh ingredients, and the flavors are comparable to similar places, if not, slightly better than what I have had in the past. We enjoyed the food so much we went back to the all you can eat buffet three times. There is a good variety of food for everyone's tastes! They have a hibachi grill, and a tasty dessert bar! For $10.55 including soda, the price cannot be beat! We will definitely be back!!

What a shame. This was our favorite place 2 years ago. It had good sushi, great buffet, and the best crab legs we ever had. The crab meat would come out of the shell intact in large chunks and so sweet you didn't need butter. Then things changed within the last 6 months. The quality of the buffet and sushi got worse and service disappeared. I swore off the place until I saw an ad in the paper that it's under new management. I knew it wouldn't be a good night when I saw that the sushi chefs were young Latin men. Don't get me wrong. I love Latin food. But the hope I was going to get authentic sushi was shot to hell. The sushi sucked. Many of the serving plates were empty. A good percentage of the available rolls were saturated with spicy mayonnaise. The rolls were so poorly constructed that they broke apart. Also, it appears that there is a rice shortage because the fish were sliced in thick chunks and placed on a half teaspoon of rice. The buffet was ordinary but again a few of the serving platters were empty. My beloved crab legs were the biggest disappointment. They were dirty and flaked into crumbs when the shells were cracked open. The sweetness was gone and I swear one tasted like death. So so sad. Service was nonexistent. Once served our drinks she disappeared and we were never given refills. Finally, the bill came to us blank. Which confused the crap out of the cashier. Which meant we had to wait until that was all straightened out which annoyed the crap out of me.

We went in with friends. Our waitress forgot my drink and rarely came over to our table unless we called her over. At the end we paid and were about to leave, the waitress comes up to us stating that the tip wasn't included and DEMANDED we give her a bigger tip!! I have never in my life had a waitress especially one who did very little and even messed that up ... Ask for a tip! A tip is earned not guaranteed!!!

This place was recommended by some friends of ours and we are so glad they did. Nice selection of sushi, soups, hot dishes, hibachi grill. Like that they do not put out too much of any item so it's always fresh. Friendly staff in a very relaxing setting. We will defiantly go back.

We eat here all the time. The sushi is great, the sashimi is always cold, the rolls are plentiful and tasty. My wife loves the tenderloin and the ribs and they are always juicy and delicious. The hibachi is a huge plus as we come here and eat super wealthy when dieting. The seaweed salad is amazing and I cannot say enough about the different seafood salads at the sushi bar. Overall this place is an AMAZING value for the price and it's our monthly date spot.

This is one of my favorite sushi buffet!!! I eat here at least once a week and the sushi is amazing!!! Never tried the hibachi yet but the Chinese food is excellent as well.. you have to try the coconut shrimp....

The price is about the same as any other Japanese Buffet, $16-$19, and the food here is the best of any buffet in the area. The sushi selection is a bit more limited than other Japanese buffets I have been to in the area, but it is fresh and tasty, standard fare for any good buffet with sushi. Even though the selection is a bit limited I would say it's better than Ginza's selection. The hot food has more items from Chinese cuisine than Japanese, but their hot food is fantastic - far better than what I'd expect from an Asian Buffet. Our waitress didn't seem to pay attention to us at all, and was busy talking to other workers in the restaurant rather than attending to our needs, so I'll rate this place a 4 rather than a 5. Kiko competes with Ginza in the area, as they both serve sushi. Kiko has slightly better sushi and far better hot food than Ginza, while Ginza has much better service. Both are quite good but I give the edge to Kiko on this one.

8/13/14 I met my family here for a quick lunch. It wasn't very busy, probably after the rush of the lunch crowd. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. It's an Asian buffet. They have an array of sushi, salads, and hot entrees, and desserts. They even have a hibachi station. Food was fresh. I liked the green beans, mushrooms & coconut shrimp. The calamari salad and salmon sushi was good. Not the best sushi around, but a good place to satisfy your sushi craving. For lunch it was quite a deal at 9.99. I'd come back!

This is an update to my original review. I really do not care for the lack of customer service and attitude this place has now acquired. The last time I was there for lunch the waitress came to my table with a major attitude as if I did or said something to her personally. Normally I would not enter into a discussion with any person that has an obvious chip on their shoulder, yet this woman needed to be put in her place! There are much better and customer service oriented restaurants I do bring my business to. Their food and over all service has gone down hill pretty fast. I originally came to this restaurant since it was close to my home and was a convenient place for lunch. At this point, I would rather drive further for better food and service with a smile. This angry and bitchy waitress should be grateful that I did not approach the owner regarding her rude and unwarranted attitude towards me. I suggest to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing lunch to go elsewhere. My money will be better spent elsewhere. This place is now on my permanent boycott list!

I was impressed with the decor, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of the food. For those who posted negative reviews..for God's sake it's a BUFFET!! And I thought the fresh oysters were fabulous. Ignore the negative reviews and try it for yourself. I didn't try the desserts except for the ice cream...and it was great.

Went for lunch don't bother discusting .seems like me and the other 2 tables felt the same like why bother opening if your not gonna actually put out food and what you put out was gross. It used to be good what happened

Went here with a friend and my son for dinner. The normal price is $16.95 but they were doing a 20% off promotion. Yay! This restaurant was clean with lots of selections. They had a variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, ceviche, avocado salad, asparagus, seaweed salad, snow crab legs, shrimp cocktail, and more on the main round buffet. The buffet around the walls had mainly Chinese dishes like salt and pepper shrimp, salt and pepper calamari, clams in brown sauce, stir fries, tempuras and more. They also had soups, dessert and a hibachi station where they make you a dish with the ingredients you pick. The only negative was that because the restaurant was pretty empty, the people who worked there all stood on one side watching us get our food which made it a little uncomfortable. Overall, good food and good prices. I guess it would have to be if you're competing with another sushi restaurant 2 doors down. Competition is good for consumers. :) I will definitely be back. This place is much better than Ginza on boynton and congress.

Hibachi was horrible. Flavorless and unseasoned. Half the veggies didn't look good. Rude hibachi chef even when we tipped him extra. Sushi was good though. Bad hospitality overall though

Good sushi for buffet type of restaurant. Reasonable price too. Friendly stuff. $9.99 for lunch.

You can't beat the price, quality of sushi available. I eat there once a week for sure, many weeks 2 to 3 times. I agree with the other reviewer this place is much better than Ginza. where the sashimi is super thin they have a great variety of sushi rolls, and other foods . Its a great place for lunch!

My father and I tried Kiko for the first time this past Saturday (1/4/2014) for lunch and frankly, I am baffled by a few of these negative reviews. Kiko is good for what it is, an inexpensive Asian buffet that focuses mainly on Japanese cuisine. Our meals were only $10.95 (Sat lunch) each plus we got 20% off. Why do people repeatedly think they are going to get gourmet food at fast food prices? Who are the idiots expecting to find a Michelin star meal here? And what moron walks into a buffet-style restaurant at 8:30 pm expecting plates and trays to be fully-stocked? If I owned this place I wouldn't be wasting food like that either. I have had the pleasure of enjoying many fine dining as well as low budget sushi meals, so I can appreciate and recognize values at both ends of the spectrum. Generally speaking, I am not a fan of buffet restaurants, especially buffet sushi. But Kiko is an exceptional value for what it is - an inexpensive, casual Asian (mostly Japanese) buffet. It is definitely superior to the long list of sub-par Asian buffet-style restaurants in the area. Is Kiko's sushi the best I have ever had? No, but there was plenty of variety and it was fresh, and it is better than any other quick-restaurant offering in the area. I could have made a meal solely on their sushi but some of the other stand out items I enjoyed were their crab rangoons, pan-fried dumplings, and coconut shrimp. The rangoons were crispy and not overly stuffed (I hate when you bite into a gooey drippy mess). The dumplings were tender and tasty, the Ponzu dipping sauce was one of the best I have ever had. The coconut shrimp was delicious - not overly sweet and saucy like most restaurants. I did not try the hibachi this time, but the ingredients looked fresh and there was a decent amount of people waiting. My dad is not much of a sushi eater (he only likes the shrimp or crab items and won't touch the raw stuff), but he found plenty to eat from the hot sections (I am pretty sure he went back 3 or 4 times). He said the wonton soup, shrimp tempura, spare ribs, and clams in garlic sauce were his favorites. Up north where I am from (CT/MA) all-u-can-eat sushi is more popular than buffet . You pay a little more - $18-20 per person - but you get to order exactly what you want off a menu and your sushi is freshly prepared to order. Obviously this is more enjoyable for many reasons and I wish this trend would be more commonplace here in South Florida.

I had a friend over and we were looking for a place to eat dinner. After reading the reviews for this place we thought it would be good. Plus it's right across the street from my house so I was excited to have a good restaurant so close. Well, this place was yucky! It's one of those places where the more you thought about it, the grosser it all seemed. The crab legs were mushy, the shells were actually mushy! I didn't even try it. The sushi had absolutely no flavor at all. No matter what kind of sushi it was, it had no flavor. The coconut shrimp, which a lot of reviewers said was good, was really bad. It was all breading and some weird sauce. I give it more than 1 star because a couple things were good: fried chicken wings, ribs and sesame balls. If you are in the mood for any of those 3 things, then go for it. But is it really worth the money if that's all you are eating? No it's not. Unfortunately, I will not be going back.

I had to drop my previous 5 star rating to 2 due to my recent experience taking 9 people out to lunch. We took my kids and my nieces and nephews for a large table of 9. Food was good as usual but when we paid the bill they would not honor the 15% coupon my wife had on all the dinners. They would only use it on the adult plates. I can somewhat understand that although the coupon had no restrictions like that on there. The problem I had was the 15% service charge they tacked on because our party was over six. This was not the tip but a service charge. When we protested we were told by the manager that it was the law that they had to charge the 15% extra. That sounds like total BS! What they did pass was a restriction on tacking on an automatic tip for large parties. Considering they know us because we go there on a regular basis I'm amazed we were treated like that.

Mediocre at best. The sushi was disappointing and the rest of the offerings were just so. I thought it would be a good deal for the money, but I actually left hungry.

This place totally blows. We went there on a Saturday night at 8:30. The place was empty and the buffet was totally picked over. The tuna sashimi was frozen and the rolls were poorly produced. Lastly the service was very inattentive even though the tables were few and far between, Dinner for three...sixty wasted dollars. Fool me once...NEVER AGAIN! Pure crap! It is restaurants like this that have me convinced that the American palette is doomed.

I'm very picky about my sushi buffets, and I went here one night after doing a fairly long run with a girlfriend of mine. We were both absolutely starving and the staff was extremely helpful recommending vegetarian dishes for me. The food was delicious, the chefs started to make vegetarian rolls just for me! This place goes HIGHLY recommend from me if you're wanting a Japanese buffet.

Hmm.... Not the easiest place to find since I was not familiar with the complex. The buffet is located immediately to the left of the WalMart. It's pretty much on the par of all the other sushi buffets. Good thing I was there for the sushi. The "Asian Buffet" was not very good, like many of these places. Low turnover meant dried out and unappetizing dishes, Throw in some small flies in the sushi area and it didn't make for pleasant dining. Frankly, I think I am through with Sushi buffets. When they were open, I totally preferred Taisho's in Boynton and Saito's in Lake Worth, At these places, you filled out your order on paper slips and it was prepared "just in time". The sushi was very fresh on most occasions, Once again, you get what you pay for. I never did get any tuna, The chef had a couple of pounds of tuna he was preparing but he was distracted by the FIFA soccer finals, There were to two tables of Asian people in this nearly empty place, I think that's a good sign. The unpleasant conclusion to my meal was a very smoky smell coming from somewhere.

Kiki is now Ichiban and they bring with them a new variety of sushi. Admittedly, many of the new items are fried, they are so tasty. The sauces pop in your mouth and create an exciting taste sensation. Friendly staff too. Enjoy!

I went here for the first time this past Sunday. It was so good that I went back a few days later. We don't have such quality sushi buffets in Dallas... at least not for $10 (lunchtime). If we do, its usually just maki rolls. This place had a huge selection of nigiri offerings, including giant clam. I had tried another nearby sushi buffet before (Ginza), but this place is way better. They offer similar items from the buffet, but Kiko is way fresher and tastier. The decor is really nice... the place is huge. I think more people go to Ginza because of location. Seriously, you should really go to Kiko before Ginza. The restaurant is fairly new... hope it sticks around. The hot foods were just as good. The coconut shrimp, broccoli tempura, chicken wings, and salt/pepper beef were standouts. My friend said the hot and sour soup was excellent. The hibachi looked great although I didn't try it.

  • Mitch F.

I supposed you can't expect much out of a $9.95 all you can eat Sushi buffet. The food was just okay as is the standard for most of these buffets. I don't believe it deserves any less than two stars and though I didn't sample the cooked food I can't justify three stars. It's not bad but nowhere near great food.

    (2)
  • Elise C.

I don't know how people buy individual rolls of sushi anymore.. One price, u try all the ones u want to. Can't beat that. Nice selection (but not as big as other sushi buffets I've been to) of sushi items (which is really why I go) and also Chinese food, as one would expect in a Chinese buffet (their coconut shrimp is pretty good over there) they have a hibachi station where you can have them create meals... Can't speak to it much cause I haven't tried it.

My wife and I are from California where good sushi is so hard to find. We were worried when we moved to Florida that we would never find decent sushi, but thanks to Kiko we found a better sushi place than we ever found in California! We been there dozens of times and without fail the food is always consistently good and the staff friendly. It's rare to find a buffet that is able to make a wide variety of food that all tastes good, from fish to chicken to an amazing egg drop soup. As a bonus the waitresses could not be sweeter to our young children.

This is my fave place to go! I usually do not go for dinner b/c prices too high so we try & go when they offer the $10 lunch buffet. All the food is fresh & restaurant is spotless! Service is good & sushi bar is good. Better here than Kingdom Buffet & most Chinese buffets. Highly recommend!

Went with a friend who loves sushi on Christmas around 5. It wasn't busy but by the time we left it was packed with a short line. This was my second time there and I hope they make it as the food is definitely a cut above for an Asian buffet. Lake Worth isn't Boynton Delray Boca or Wellington for that matter and maybe this sounds steriotypish but not sure the neighborhood around there and by no means is it bad , it's Jog road is into Sushi. The first time we went last month it was almost empty. We went right at it Howie hit the Sushi first and went from there and he finished big with desert. I did Miso soup which was very good, larger than normal peel and eat shrimp and nice soft shell crab legs along with decent sized raw oysters on ice. The sushi to me is just OK but I had probably 12 pieces. I do not think it compares to the nicer sit down sushi restaurants I have eaten at but for variety this place is great. Many standard buffet items all above average and both of us were very impressed with the meaty tasty spare ribs. It is clean, the service is good and we were surprised when the waitress told us we were getting 20% off the tab , over $7 bucks off, and she even gave us 2 Kiko cheapo pens no biggie but just a nice gesture. So stuffed with seafood and every other thing for $20 including tip is to me a good deal. This could be a once a month joint for me.

I absolutely love this place. I have been here many times before and I will definitely being go more often. So many different types of sushi to choose from, and even a small personal hibachi section. Excellent food.

Marvelous place. The food is fresh at anytime you go. Inexpensive sushi and buffet about $20 per person all you can eat. Best place. My husband and I have been to a lots of sushi places in Palm Beach county.

I was impressed by the variety of food. If you enjoy chinese, japanese and sushi, this is the place for you. I especially enjoyed the hibachi and sushi. The decor was nice and the service was good. If I lived in the area, I would definitely go back.

If I could I would give this establishment no star at all. Horrible table service (plates piled and never cleared). Fish did not taste fresh. No one could explain what dishes were. To top it off totally overpriced. We will never go here again.

I stopped by today (Jun 25 2014) for the weekday lunch buffet. I am amazed at the selection and what you get for $9.95. The sushi quality was certainly higher than I expected at this price range. I have been to certain places in Boca that serve up sushi of roughly the same quality at 3-4X the price. There must have been 20 varieties of rolls. For a small tip, I asked the sushi chef for a special order of sliced escolar over rice (my favorite) and he happily obliged. The hot foods area was very solid, again, considering the price range. The vegetable fried rice and dumplings tasted very fresh even though I was visiting a little after the main rush at 1:30P. The chicken wings were also good. I didn't have room to try the hibachi area, but the meat selection there looked very good as I walked by....and a chef was on standby waiting to cook up a fresh dish for the next person that walked up. For dessert I had the cookies and cream ice cream. Again, higher quality than you'd expect at this price. I can fully recommend Kiko and I will return next time with friends.

Everything here is very good. They have a large variety of sushi and it is all good. I think this is the best asian buffet I have been to. My mother is usually very picky but was unable to find anything here that she didn't like. Red bean ballzz!!!

  • Brett B.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night. It was not that crowded. Reaffirmed my belief that buffet sushi is usually low grade quality. The fish was simply not that good. The hibachi was good and the hot prepared foods were alright.

    (3)
  • Sari B.

Food is just ok, but I have a theory with all you can eat sushi, or buffets...you lose quality for quantity. Many things to choose from, and non sushi eaters have lots of choices as well...desserts were not fresh, some of the cake appeared to be stale, but there was ice cream, so no big deal

    (4)
  • Gary M.

We tried this new sushi and asian buffet for lunch. The restaurant is well laid out, attractive and very clean, which is important with a buffet. They have a large variety of well made sushi, but no sashimi, at least at lunch. Other reviewers have spelled out the wide variety of asian dishes and they were very good. Everything was fresh, vegtables were crisp and appropriately sauced. Desserts were ok and the fresh pineapple was especially good. I did skip the icecream, it was only lunch and some rules still have to be observed. Overall it was better than average and worth a repeat trip.

i do not get the negative reviews, some people haven't A clue or just like to trash a business. positives were the sushi bar, atmosphere ,comfortable chairs ,fair service, no no's are the hibachi bar^ Chinese dishes. . that was for dinner meal and it had a 20% off and came to 13.60. the crab legs were over salted. but the fresh fish and rolls were good. so if you do not like sushi and fish stay away..i give a top score right now I eat at ginga and there just as good , they are new and well see how they work out. They spent $$$$$$ on decorating.
